Musical Mondays

The Man and I went to the Mark Ronson gig on Friday night. Wowee. A night of general frivolity.

Today's Musical Monday is dedicated to Mark Ronson and the Business International. And Boy George. You rock my world.

Sisterly Sundays

What is it with little sisters always copying what their older sisters are doing?
After hearing about my 30x30 list, my sister decided she would come up with a 25x25 list and blog her efforts.
I whinge because I am fully aware that she has youth on her side, the good genes in the family and her blog will be at least 6 times more humorous than mine.

Anyhoo, insecurities aside, I refer to #17 on her list- find some Banksy graffiti in her adopted hometown of London.

Today's Sisterly Sunday post honours this item with some of Chippendale's finest street art.

The above were iphoney photos taken by my outstandingly talented Man. Check out his awesome work here.

And I take credit for this one. Full respect to you, Chip. Damn the Man.

The Muse

Image via

I've always harboured a secret desire to be somebody's muse in an Andy Warhol/Edie Sedgwick kinda way.

The Man has started his own blog. Tonight he warned me that he'll be giving me a fair bit of blogging love and featuring photos of moi every now and then. I now consider myself to have achieved 'Muse' status. Excellent.

Check out his blog of excellence- the devil's in the detail.

Sisterly Sundays

Hope you are having fun, little sis. Miss you much. On the upside though, at least I get your share of the potatoes at Sunday dinner. Win.

Tengo grandes planes para el 2011: Febrero

February began with heatwaves, Year of the Rabbit festivities and combined birthday/farewell festivities for my sister.

It ended with 80s themed 30th celebrations for The Man, replete with pinballs, teased hair and the prospect of impending adulthood (read: doom.)

It was also a month in which I attempted to go alcohol-free for the month's entirety. And failed. Which leaves #5 on the 30x30 list still unfulfilled.

I always find the end of February slightly melancholic. Goodbye summer. Hello reality.

Working my way towards #3 on the 30x30 list- Complete a 2km ocean swim. On this particular morning, I was happy to just do 1km. That's enough, thankyouverymuch.

A weekend away in your own city is a most novel thing.

The many artistic possibilities of a witches' hat.

This cake is not a testament to my cake-making abilities. It is a testament to how I manage to come up with alternative ways to fix things when I don't think things through properly. Martha Stewart would not approve.

Sometimes the thought of an impending winter makes me want to curl up and hibernate. Then I just suck it up and leave the curling up to my cat.
